Passed away peacefully on 5th April, aged 81.
Loved partner of Paea (deceased). Will be missed by Gail and their children Bruce and Judy, Sharon and Kevin, Brian, and Gavin and all his grandchildren.
In accordance with John’s wishes a private cremation has taken place.

Dearly loved wife of the late Harry Langridge, and Max Simonsen. Loved mother and mother in law of Graeme and Karen Langridge, Robyn and Allan Robinson, Pamela and Craig Lilburn, Tony and Sharon Langridge. Loved Nana of Toby, Katie, Emma & Chris, Daniel & Kelly, Glenn & Aimee, Sarah & Mohamed, Zac & Lindsey, Lucy & Taylor, Alice & Simon, Bridgette & Cameron, Charlotte & Lasith and Joshua. Loved Nana Joan of her 9 great grandchildren.
A private burial will be arranged at a later date.

On Easter Sunday 12th April 2020 at Broadview Rest home, Wanganui, aged 77 years.
Mother to Ann-Marie, Robin, and Matthew.
Due to unprecedented circumstances we are unable to celebrate Mum's life together but there will be a short livestreamed service on www.clevelandfunerals.co.nz, Friday 17th April, at 10.00am.
When circumstances permit we will gather to scatter her ashes and plant a tree.

Our Dad was a unique individual with a lifelong passion for house renovation & the collection and restoration of fine antique furniture. He was the King of the covered BBQ, a lover of music, a smooth red, and a good book and counted among his many friends people like the late Burt Reynolds. No one has lived a fuller life than our Dad. He was one of the all-time great story tellers. He could command the attention of all present when recounting his life experiences of which there were many and as with all good story tellers he was not shy to add a little embellishment here and there to spice things up a little. He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by all that knew him.
“Travel safely Dad with all our love and when the time is right we will all be together again. No aches, no pains, no hurt or sorrow. Sadly your book will remain unfinished but sometimes it’s better to leave the readers guessing as to how a story will end. You will always be in our hearts and thoughts.”
A Private Cremation was conducted on Saturday 11th April 2020 and a Memorial Service will be held at a later date when travel restrictions etc are relaxed.

Max was a much loved husband of Angela (deceased), a loved and respected father of Tony and Evelyn, Rosie and Brian and Keith and a very proud Grandad of Fletcher.
Dad (and Grandad), was a hard working, problem-solver who locked up the workshop and knocked off a little bit early, for a well deserved rest and a cup-of-tea.
We love you Dad.
We ‘jokers’ will get together after lockdown for a cuppa and a few stories.
