Passed away peacefully at home in Whanganui on 23 February 2020, aged 88.

Beloved wife of the late Anthony. Mother of Anna. Grandma to Laurence, and Jason Brooke.

Co-founder of Peace Through Unity, Gita will be greatly missed by all her family and friends including the worldwide co-workers for the Culture of Peace.

A funeral service for Gita will be held in Christ Church Anglican Church, Wicksteed Street Whanganui, on Friday 28 February 2020, at 2.00pm.

On 27th February 2020, peacefully at New Vista Rest Home with her loving family at her side, in her 86th year.

A dearly loved Mother, Nana and Great Nana.

Special thanks to the staff of New Vista Rest Home for their care and kindness shown to Margaret.

Friends are invited to attend a celebration of Marg’s life in the Forrest Lawn Chapel, 208 Guyton Street, Wanganui on Monday March 2, 2020 at 1.30pm, to be followed by interment in the Aramoho Lawn Cemetery.

Best Pops of Kellie and Cam, Chris, Scott and Emily, Amy and Chris. Best Great Pops of Zayus, Reegan, Quin; Isla; and Greta. A beloved brother and brother in law and uncle. Special friend of Ann.

The family extend their heartfelt thanks to Dr Hazelhurst for his care and patience and to the staff of Kowhainui for the amazing respect and dignity shown to their Dad and their family.

In accordance with Colin’s wishes a private family service has been held.
